I gave blood, Christ gave His.
I gave a pint, He gave it all.
My needle's short and sharp, His nails where large and dull
My cot was soft and restful, His cross was rough and hard
My med-techs were kind and gentle, His soldiers were cruel and mean
The crowd applauded my sacrifice, those who passed by reviled Him
Mine was type A positive, His was positive for all
Mine, at best, will prolong life for awhile.
His without a doubt, will SAVE us all for eternity
A blessed Good Friday.
Plenary indulgence is available for those who will join the public veneration of the cross of Jesus this Good Friday. Please avail of Gods wonderful saving graces.
This comparison to the way we give blood helps us grasp the extreme degree to which Jesus suffered in His sorrowful passion.

it is not clear that "plenary indulgence is available" as stated because what is provided is a list answering the question
"WHAT ARE THE OTHER WAYS OF OBTAINING INDULGENCES?"
and plenary indulgence is not specified.
6.13. Each Friday of Lent, a plenary indulgence is granted to those who piously recite the prayer "Look down upon Me, Good and Gentle Jesus" after Communion, before an image of Christ crucified. This prayer is among those offered in the missal for thanksgiving after Communion.
